GKH Mecate Reins

The GKH Mecate Reins offer versatility and feel, designed for use with either a bosal or a snaffle bridle. When fitted correctly, they provide a complete loop of reins with an integrated lead line that can be attached to the saddle or tucked neatly into your belt while riding.

Available in two rope styles:

14mm Standard Rope

9/16" Professional Rope

Choose from two connection options to suit your setup:

One tassel & one leather popper – ideal for use with a bosal or slobber straps
Two leather poppers – perfect for use with slobber straps on a snaffle bridle

Available in 18ft or 22ft lengths.

Add a pair of Andrea Equine Slobber Straps for just £45 — beautifully crafted in the USA from butter-soft leather. The simple, elegant design provides ideal weight and balance for a smooth, consistent feel and release when paired with our Mecate Reins.

Great quality Mecate reins. These are lovely to handle with a soft feel. They are the best rope reins I have had, they don't slip like some. If I need any other ropes / reins I'll order from GK Horsemanship first, the ordering and delivery were first class and so easy
